This week, The Legal Accountability Project published our 1000th post-clerkship survey, an important benchmark in our efforts to democratize judicial clerkship information.

On Sunday, April 8, 2024, judicial clerkship hiring changed forever. LAP launched our Centralized Clerkships Database for the first cohort of student users, an unprecedented step to increase transparency, equity, and accountability in judicial clerkships and the judiciary.

LAP’s President and Founder Aliza Shatzman was recognized as part of the 2024 NAWL Rising List for her committed to NAWL’s mission of advancing women in the profession and advocating for women under the law.

LAP announces the March 2024 Launch Date for our Centralized Clerkships Database, as well as the opening of the Pre-Registration Period for Database access. By broadening access to clerkship applicants nation-wide, LAP takes an unprecedented step to truly democratize judicial clerkship information.

Today LAP announced the LAP Pledge, our new initiative to publicly signal judiciary support for LAP’s Clerkships Database. It’s our answer to the question we receive most frequently: “What do judges think of LAP’s Clerkships Database?”
