50 Vanderbilt Law School Students Can Access LAP’s Database for Free, Thanks to A Generous Alumni Donation
Thanks to a generous donation by LAP Advisory Board member and former federal law clerk Ramon J. Ryan (VLS ‘21), the next 50 Vanderbilt Law students who subscribe to LAP’s Clerkships Database can access the platform for free this year. LAP was glad to announce this opportunity for VLS students to access the Database free of charge on Tuesday, February 25, during a clerkship transparency event at Vanderbilt Law co-sponsored by BLSA, WLSA, and ACS.
VLS students can register for Database access at survey.legalaccountabilityproject.org. LAP continues to offer a variety of pricing options this year for individuals, student organizations and law journals, and law schools, as well as some student subscriptions covered through generous donations like these, as we spread the word about our platform to more law students on campuses nationwide.
LAP is grateful that several donors over the past few months have stepped forward to cover Clerkships Database costs for students this year. Donors have also generously covered the Database subscription cost for Yale, Harvard, and Columbia Law students, with several more donations to be announced in the coming weeks.
LAP hopes more donors from more law schools will donate on behalf of students, thereby ensuring broad access to this critical information. Accessing candid clerkship information has never been more urgent, as students enter another judicial clerkship application cycle where far too many lack access to unbiased perspectives on clerking and may be pressured to accept prestigious federal clerkships without true informed consent about the realities of clerking. LAP is proud that our Clerkships Database has emerged as a trusted staple in the legal industry.
