Thanks to Generous Alumni Donation, 50 Columbia Law School Students Can Access LAP’s Database for Free This Year
Thanks to a generous donation by Columbia Law School alumnus Bryson Malcolm (‘20), Founder and CEO of Mosaic Search Partners, the next 50 CLS students who subscribe to LAP’s Clerkships Database from the following affinity organizations - BLSA, LALSA, APALSA, SALSA, CLWA, EWOC, MELSA, JLSA, MLSA, OutLaws, QTPOC, and NALSA - using the registration code “Mosaic Gift Subscription” can access the platform for free this year.
LAP remains committed to diversifying the legal profession generally, which starts with diversifying judicial clerkships, considering that these prestigious positions are launchpads to future career success, including in private practice. Law clerks are overwhelmingly white and male. Mosaic Search Partners, the premier legal recruiting firm specializing in placements of diverse attorneys, is a logical partner in our efforts to diversify the ranks of judicial law clerks and future lawyers.
CLS students can register for Database access at survey.legalaccountabilityproject.org. On the registration page, where the platform asks where students learned about LAP, CLS students should note “Mosaic Gift Subscription.” CLS students, like all Clerkships Database users, are required to upload student identification to verify their identities.
LAP is grateful that donors from several schools, including CLS, have stepped up to cover the Clerkships Database cost for students this year. Cost should not be a barrier to accessing candid information about judicial clerkships. We hope more donors from more law schools will step forward and donate on behalf of students, thereby ensuring broad access to this information.
