Q & A with Aliza Shatzman, founder of The Legal Accountability Project

“The justice system in general is very unjust,” Aliza Shatzman told Jewish Women’s Archive. “Which is ironic when you consider that the judiciary interprets and enforces the law, and yet they are above those same laws they enforce. Judges are not subject to anti-discrimination laws.” Aliza discussed the experiences that inspired her to launch LAP to correct injustices she experienced as a law student and law clerk, and how her Jewish identity informs her work.
